From a single plastic piece, over component groups, to assembly groups, all individual solutions developed and produced on highest quality level.

Proven technology

Injection molding – joining technology – assembly - material

The following information gives an overview about the essential technologies Wessel-Werk is using for injections molding, joining technology, assembly, and material.

• Manufacturing of injection molding components with up to 1500 g weight in modern injection molding engines with up to 500 t closing force – robot-supported component-pick-up and/or placement included.
• Drying of hygroscopic plastics.
• Regulated plastic coloring with batch or for small quantities with powder.
• Regranulation of starting components and gates as well as their environmentally compatible further utilization
• Multi-shift operation, small series, high volume
• Individual packaging – single packaging, bulky loads, boxes, convenience packaging or reusable packaging.
• Tool sampling and optimization until production approval.
• Automated process monitoring for engine and robot.
• Reporting of quality relevant parameters.
• Individual assembly – completely automated, semi-automated or manually. Development and production of simple assembly aids up to complicated mounting devices for integration into the production process done project-specific.
• Handling of any established thermoplastic plastics possible, e.g. PP, ABS, PC, PA, POM, TPE, PS, PE, PMMA.

Wessel-Werk concentrates its entire development know-how in Germany. More than 50 years development experience in plastic construction groups as well as the in-house department for product development and design emphasizes Wessel-Werk development competence.

There are more than 100 active patents. The development base on modern technique, e.g. two/three dimensional CAD/CAM systems, CFD suction laboratory and acoustic laboratory. By using software pillowed mold-flow simulation, individual plastic injection molded components can be produced cost-efficient without expensive prototypes and defects, constructed and processed within short project times.

Manufacturing of individual plastic components

Tools needed for production of injection molding components are constructed and built in-house. Using up-to-date technique guarantees a smoothly and reliable high quality serial production at two manufacturing locations.

High-precision production tools generated and built via virtual data at the mould design and construction department. Direct collaboration with the mold design and construction team of the Wessel-Werk group provides customer advantages. Customers benefit from quick decisions and a better process coordination during the creation of tools at various engines and quality checks. After approval, the tools passed to serial production. Production and further processing are at the same location.
